Hello-
I am new to your board and was wondering if anyone could help a family keep their dog? Zeke is a three-year-old 75 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, whose family who is about to be transferred to Denver after the husband lost his job The family now lives in Jacksonville but can't afford to transport Zeke with them to Colorado. Funding is very limited and the family sent out an email about their plight, adding they also didn't think they could continue to care for him either. They were basically looking to re-home him or else have to surrender him to a shelter. Well, a bunch of rescue folks here in Florida asked Zeke's dad,if we could find transportation and talk with rescue folks in Denver about obtaining pet food help, etc,for them, would they want to keep Zeke. You could almost feel Zeke's dad's enthusiasm jump through the email. His response was a big YES! So this is the dilemma...He has until February 5th. If there was some way Zeke could hop a flight to meet his family in Denver, we could possibly board him either in Orlanda or Jacksonville until then. Not knowing the time frame you folks work within, is this feasible? ..This is a young couple, with a a young child who just adores Zeke. Thanks for any help you can provide....Also, is there a place we rescue folk can donate to you all?
