We take in bassets frequently from Bluegrass Basset Rescue and will commit to two bassets coming in with a starting point of Louisville for this event.
Pilot Paul Pogorzelski said he would participate in this effort.
I believe pilot John Lee might also participate.
Looking forward to saving more hounds through PNP!

FILLED??? 2 Bassets - Louisville KY 40218 to Ewing NJ 08628
I'm not sure who marked this flight as filled - if John Lee or someone else and Paul P. agreed, that's great, but I'd like to see their confirmation here and will e-mail them separately.
We definitely have two bassets now who need to come out from Louisville and may have more.
Will provide descriptions and info once confirmed.

We're in the process of reworking this transport, possibly using ground transport to get the now only one basset to Ashland KY before 2:30pm tomorrow 9/12/09. Will be in touch with you, Roy! Thanks for offering to help. Kentucky is one state that definitely needs pilots to help out!! We're very grateful to you for offering to do so.

Re: 2 Bassets - Louisville KY 40218 to Ewing NJ 08628
HUGE thanks to Roy, John Lee, and Jerry S. for transporting Big Joey to New Jersey. Poor boy was very stressed out - not sure if it was a combination of all the changes to his life, a bit of separation anxiety after having bonded with the assistant director of the shelter he was in, and/or ear infections, but he was treated with great care by the pilots. Our volunteer Cathy Larsen and her daughter brought Big Joey to the park to meet me where our rescue had it's event, and I took him to meet his foster home in the evening.
The report from the foster home is that Big Joey is settling in, managed to convince the foster home he needed to sleep in their bed, and is doing fine relaxing after his big adventure.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR HELPING THE ANIMALS!!
