PNP Call Sign

Any chance of us getting registered with the FAA for a specific PNP call sign? That really would be awesome for all of us pilots. "Good morning Center, Bow Wow 6, 6000, Hotel"

Another organization i fly for "Animal Rescue Flights" has gotten the call sign of ARF for their flights ( just recieved notification this morning) So it is possible... not sure how to go about it though..

Fun, but, IMHO, not necessary... I just fly the critters.

I guess it really wouldn't matter unless your on a IFR flight plan anyway....

Somewhere on this board is a thread that addresses that. I think something was suggested or applied for to the FAA, to be able to use a specific call sign, like we do with Angel Flight when we have a patient aboard. It was denied, for various reasons, mainly not being necessary.
I do put "Animal Rescue Flight for PilotsNPaws" in the Remarks section of my IFR flight plan. So far not one controller has metioned it, although I have heard other pilots talk of being asked about it by ATC

Debi has asked our attorney to investigate this. The problem is the FAA has no way of verifying we have sufficient monthly activity since we are a bulleting board and we do not require reporting of completed flights. We likely have significantly more transports than required by the regs, but until we get some modifications to our web site we cannot document the numbers.
