Hi,folks,
My name is Glynn and I live 30 min. from HSV airport. Will be glad to have dogs spend the night if needed. I am presently fostering 2 dogs while training them, somewhat. Have had Shelties in the past. Have 3 outside runs, and medium size crates, if needed. I could also help with ground transportation of 150miles, or so.
I have been monitoring this site for the past year, and think that I'm ready to help now. Such great work is always being done!!

I'm a bit late on posting to this thread, but here goes anyway!

Hi, I'm Brett Elliott. I live just outside Cincinnati OH near Blue Ash Airport (KISZ) and Lebanon Warren County Airport (I68). I have two Labrador Retrievers (Sunrae and Humphrey), and we're fostering another for Labrador Retriever Rescue of Cincinnati (Sprocket). I'm currently a student glider pilot, and I plan to start on my private power rating within the next year. I look forward to working with y'all to move some paws :)

Hello! :D

My name is Tiffany and I volunteer with S'Wheat Rescues, based in Kansas City MO. I am a transport coordinator for them. Also, have done some fostering. I live in Iowa (and live right by a municipal airport ;) ).

We have a great group of people who help get dogs across the country. I am always inspired and amazed by people who step in and help out.

I have discovered however, that our coverage in the Western States is sparse or non exsistant, lol.

This board is a great idea, and I look forward to helping where I can.

Mike Long
Houston, TX

Hello! I'm Mike Long, retired Navy helicopter pilot, Quality Manager at an oil company and recent Texas transplant. My wife Tina and I are the proud parents of two rescue Golden Retrievers and have been active with Golden Rescue in four states now. I rent a Beechcraft Duchess and Piper Seneca III at Lone Star Executive Airport (KCXO) just North of Houston. Trips during the week are tough to accomplish, but most weekends are wide open. As a big plus, my company matches the donations in kind!

Hi,
I'm Susie Cobb, regional coordinator for Boston Terrier Rescue of E Tennessee, although I'm in North Augusta, SC, near Augusta, GA. One of our other regional coordinators, Sue Bruce, Tallahassee, FL, is responsible for my joining after she and a bunch of pilots and volunteers rescued 52 animals, mostly dogs and puppies, from South GA and flew them to FL. Great job and what a wonderful service!

Hi...My name is Cheryl Horton and I'm with "A Voice For Pets" Rescue and Outreach in Chuckey, TN. I work full time on the weekends as a Surgical Nurse in the Operating Room at a hospital in our region. We began our Outreach program about 6 years ago in Greene Co. because we felt that the only real way to help stop the killing of so many animals was to cut it off at the root of the problem...the community. So we actually go in to high risk areas of the county, knocking on doors and offering low cost or no cost spay or neutering. We actually pick the dog or cat up at their home and take them to the vet for them. If they can't pay we pay for it. Last year we had over 400 animals spayed or neutered and are advocating for spay/neuter laws in this region. That is the only way to stop the insanity of all this killing. This is an unbelievable venue to help try and get some of these little "throw aways" into loving home. So bless all of you at Pilots N Paws for this incredible endeavor to save these precious beings.

Hello everyone. My name is Karen Frenette and we usually just foster then place local dogs a couple at a time. Our last 4 fosters were Katrina puppies that ended up staying 2 years or more. After the 4 musketeers we decided to take a break from rescue and were all set until a cross post about an elderly American Pit Bull terrier hit the cross post lists. Clem looks so much like the old girl who was our first APBT and a rescue, that we just couldn't let him go to the local shelter that does not adopt out APBTs. He deserved better so we agreed to take him. The problem is arranging transport for him, He is in Wilmington, NC and needs to get to NH. Being he is over 10 and in unknown old age health, we are trying to find the least stressful option for him.

Hello, my name is Sharon Harper and I am a proud owner of two rescued Shih-Tzu's. As a result of learning about rescue, I have been an active volunteer for various rescues for years now. I currently split my time between SW Florida and SE North Carolina. I tell everyone that will listen what a rewarding experience it has been for me, my privilege actually. My volunteering includes transport assistance, computer work, transport monitoring and other duties as assigned. I was told about Pilots N Paws last year and immediately registered as a member. I felt this could expand my transport assistance by doing postings for those who might not otherwise think of this option or have the ability to do it.

I am amazed and astonished at how much this group has done for rescue. It is absolutely wonderful how people come together to help those who might not otherwise get a chance at a new life. I am so glad I found such an excellent resource and know some day it will prove beneficial to a little one I helped post.

Great work!!!
