Transportation min Schnauzer

Post by mitcheul » Tue Jul 27, 2010 2:54 pm

I have rescued a miniture schnauzer but over a week ago but I'm having trouble getting him to me from LaPaw Rescue in Lake Charles, Lousianna to Graham, Texas. Someone was kind enough to mention your site to me.....Could you please help me??? I've also never done this before so not really sure what I'm doing at all but will do my best to get my new baby to me...whatever it takes! ;) Thankyou Mitcheul.

Hi & welcome to PNP.
Please post your request under the section titled "Animals needing transport".
Start by posting the trip with the zip codes for starting & ending cities (which I see you did). Once that is posted the top of your post will show
Sending Zip Code:
Receiving Zip Code:
Map This Request Flight Plan using Skyvector Flight Plan using Runwayfinder More Mapping Options

Click on the red Map this request & a pop up will give you the transport mapped out. Look for :plane: (which denote pilots). Clicking on the icon will bring up that person's info & you can email or PM them from there. Some people also provide a phone number there. Contacting them directly is recommended for the fastest response as there is no guarantee that the person you need will see your post on the board.
I hope this helps and good luck.

Joanne

One comment:

If you click on 'More Mapping Options' rather than 'Map this request', you will be given the option of displaying only the pilots on the map. There's less clutter on the map if you're looking for pilots only.

Don't be afraid to ask questions--that's what this section is for. And as you just saw, I'm learning new ways too. ;)

Yes I see that....thank goodness for the internet and all you guys! ;) There are so many pilots....just pick any one??? Or do you suggest otherwise?

It's pretty much hit or miss with first time requests. (Some rescues have posted enough transports that they know several pilots who work with them).

I'd start with the pilots closest to the route (the blue line). If no offers come back, then move to pilots further away. Also I suggest putting Pilots N Paws (or use PNP) transport requestin the subject line so they read your message.

Good luck!
