Springfield MO to OKC - starved basset pups CANCELLED

Post by nmbassetlover » Thu Apr 02, 2009 2:51 pm

A litter of basset puppies was abandoned in a cage behind an abandoned building. Orginally there were 7, but 3 died of starvation and exposure before someone luckily came along and found them. The 4 are in need of a ride from Springfield MO to OKC. There is also an unrelated male basset in a kill shelter that needs to come on the transport also.

If anyone can help me get these guys to safely, please let me know.

Chris Dowd

I would be willing to fly them to Bartlesville OK from Springfield MO, then if you could get one of the OKC pilots to pick them up in Bartlesville it would be about equal distance for both of us. Current health certificates for all the passsengers would be in order of course as well as carriers for all parties. I have two other rescue flights that I have scheduled so I would have to coordinate this additional flight around them.

Ross (the previous poster) and I discussed this Saturday and would be happy to split the flight.

However, in your separate private message, I understand that the sender is not interested in air transport. Too bad, it would really save a lot of transport time for the dogs, and you have willing people ready to do it. So if you're able to change their minds, please let us know.

Thanks,
Russ
