All,
Monday will work for me and the long term forecast is good. Not sure of the exact time but it will be in the AM. Where is your pup located in the Memphis area? As for the other request to WI, I can bring that pup to Columbia but someone will need to coordinate who will be meeting me in Columbia. Same goes for the other post on this request from Diane. If you can work out something, I can stop at Kennett, MO and pick up that pup. Lot to work out.

Hey Jim,

Thanks for offering up on this one.

The problem is, the other pup coming up from Memphis to Madison, WI (http://pilotsnpaws.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16617) can't be
transported on the rest of the way Monday and will need to have a foster arranged until we can get the COU to Madison leg covered ;)

This is why we were trying to do both at once for next weekend 4/14, because we had the next leg covered and didn't need any fostering in COU.

Any ideas ... I can't fly Monday, (work, life, other commitments), but could do later in the week. I could foster overnight a few days, just not 5 days!

I know this is more flying time, but what if we split these transports? Our temp foster in Memphis will be leaving on a business trip on the 14th, so it would really be best if we could get our puppy moved before then, otherwise I think our puppy will have to be boarded, and may not be able to make any flight on the weekend of the 14th.

As far as where the puppy is located in Memphis, our volunteer that has offered to get the dog to the airport is actually based in Germantown, so it should be an easy transfer if we do the transport on Monday and Jim could take the puppy with him to the airport.

Please let me know if you think this will work.
Thanks,
Emily

Works for me Emily.

Jim, can you just do this one to KCOU and we can still proceed with our plans for the other one separately on 4/12 ultimately up to Madison, WI ??

All,
Sounds good to me. I will plan on just the one pup to Columbia and since the dog is already in Germantown, they can come to my house or meet somewhere and I will fly the dog to Columbia. on Monday. It will be in the AM but will fine tune the time later. Also, will need all the vet paperwork and the Germantown foster contact info and the Columbia contact info. Will it be the adoptive family meeting me at Columbia.?

Great, thanks Jim! I will an official run sheet put together and email it to you with everyone's contact information. Can you provide me with your tail number? The person in Germantown is not the actual person that will be fostering, so the sooner we know a time the better on our end so we can coordinate amongst ourselves. Yes, you will be meeting the adopter at the airport in Columbia on Monday. You'll be hearing from me soon! Feel free to contact me via email: ea.mcdonald@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

I think the setters I previously mentioned are taken care of, but I'm also trying to get a German Shorthair here (St. Louis) from Kennett. If they can get her to Kennett, I'll bet they'd go farther to COU but if not, maybe when you drop this pup off in CPS, you could bring the GSP back with you? They were hoping for this weekend, but that's not working out, so if they get the GSP into MO even next week, will you keep me in the loop for bringing the GSP back here? If you can come to CPS I can keep her overnight and then drive her on toward Terre Haute (any day). Earhart500@aol.com/618-235-8823 home.

All,
Since I never heard back from the Pointer Rescue, I will now withdraw my offer to fly this dog to Columbia, MO and work with another request for transport. I would like to say this is very aggravating.

Jim-

I'm very sorry to hear that! I've been sending you emails requesting a time for transport for tomorrow! Have you not been getting them? I was going to call this afternoon if I hadn't heard anything, but we are all ready and were just waiting on a time for tomorrow's transport. We would really like to still be able to get this transport done tomorrow, if at all possible.

Again, I am very sorry our lines seem to have gotten crossed!
