New to PnP...Liability Waivers for Pilots?

Post by MauiJen » Wed Oct 24, 2012 4:05 am

Hi, I'm a volunteer for a rescue group in Hawaii and we are trying to get flights going interisland for some of our pups. Does anyone have pilots sign liability waivers for their flights? If yes, would you be willing to email me a copy of the waiver? Also, any other tips would be greatly appreciated in streamlining the whole process. Thank you for any help or suggestions. Aloha, Jenny

Short answer: No.

Where's the liability? What's the monetary value of the cargo (animals) that you are carrying? Who's going to sue over the loss of an animal that was being rescued from being killed anyway?

It's really no different than any other flight. Carry adequate insurance. If you require all your passengers to sign waivers, then go ahead. But I don't know anyone who does.
