Minimum field requirements

Is there method to determine the minimum field characteristics a pilot might accept? Runway lengths, surface limits, fuel available, and the like are major variables. Secondary airports are not well known to transport organizers and seem to under represented in transports. I am located in the western mountains and primary airports are few and far between.

A good rule of thumb is to have a runway at least 2,000ft long for the majority of smaller single engine aircraft. 3,000ft is more comfortable, however. In any case, the pilot will let you know what airport, in your vicinity, will be acceptable.
