How small are the puppies? I am extremely space-limited. Could possibly take the cat in a carrier and the puppies loose (have taken dogs loose before, they just go to sleep)

The 2 puppies would be in very small carriers, just like the kitten.
1 is a chihuahua puppy, about 8 wks old, 3 lbs.
The other is a terrier pup, 4 mths old, about 6 lbs.
One of the pups could probably be held on a lap, but I will provide small carriers for them.

I don't think 3 carriers won't fit in my airplane, not the standard "small" carriers anyway. If you can give exact dimensions of the carriers I can go measure but unfortunately not until next week. This is the rear (passenger) seat where our furry friends would have to go:

The lady pictured is about 5'6" and it wasn't roomy for her.

Due to some space limitations, we will have the original kitten and 1 puppy only. Both carriers are approx. 20"L x 11"W x 12"H

How do we begin to put a flight plan into place with times for this Sunday, January 13th? Where in San Diego does the plane depart please?

Thank you,
Michelle

Would it be possible to use one of the soft-sided carriers that look like a handbag to help fit everyone in?

Soft carriers sounds like a great idea if you have any. Otherwise we will just have to make the hard ones fit. I'll take a tape measure to the plane on Friday and check that it will be OK.

This is a lot of flying for one day, especially in winter, so let's try to get an early start and be efficient with handovers. TBornemann, what are you flying and where are you starting? Would a dawn departure from San Diego let you make it to Fresno by 9:15 am?
My flight time from FAT to RBG is about 3 hours assuming neutral winds, so a 9:30 departure from FAT would get me there around 12:30.

I can be in Roseburg by 12:30, and should be in Salem by 1:45 or 2:00

Re: URGENT need leg from San Diego to No. CA Sunday a.m. 1/1

Copying to the post as well:

I found a pilot in San Diego that can get them to Fresno. They are available to fly either tomorrow or Sunday.

Please let me know what the weather conditions appear to be and if Sunday looks good for everyone (so far it looks clear here in San Diego). The local pilot in San Diego stated the only weather item they sometimes contend with is the marine layer here in San Diego in the early mornings, so they will do their best to get out at dawn to be up there by 9:15 a.m. in Fresno (it is approximately 1 - 1/2 hrs she believes), but she asked if Henry, you prefer, they fly them up to you tomorrow afternoon and you foster a night for Douglas & Jerry to fly them Sunday as planned.

Please let me know your preference, Henry and to all pilots - if weather conditions still look good.

Thank you everyone!
