Additional Info/situation:

Jethro is an American Foxhound. He came into the shelter with numbers painted on his sides, indicative of having been very recently in a field competition. Such competition hounds are usually their owner's best hounds and are quickly retrieved if they get lost and end up in a shelter. Not this time. Jethro has been in the shelter in Many, LA, long enough to be out of time and in danger of being put down, even though he's healthy and friendly. We have found a foster home for him in the Georgetown, TX, area, where he'll have a foster Bluetick Coonhound for company, along with the foster mom's own Black & Tan Coonhound. Now we just need to get him there.

Greta is a pointer going to pointer rescue in San Angelo. We couldn't see putting a bird in the air for Jethro and not including her. If we can get her to Austin/Georgetown, we can figure out the next part.

I've been waiting for the weather to quit being so wiggly before posting this request. At this point it looks like Friday through Sunday are all much better than we've seen in awhile. Pick the time that works for you. Our only limit is that our foster on the receiving end in Georgetown works during the day and can't get to GTU until 18:30. Sat and Sun don't have that limitation. On the other hand, she needs to be at GTU on Friday at 18:30 anyway, for an outbound flight for a mastiff.

Thank you for all you do for the homeless animals.

UPDATE:

We have a 3-legged transport. Leg one goes to David and Diane Newton, flying Greta and Jethro from Many, LA, to Conroe, TX. Leg two goes to Denise Pride, flying Greta and Jethro from Conroe to Boerne, TX. Jethro stops there, and leg three will either be Denise, flying Greta on to San Angelo, TX, or Mari Bailey driving later in the week, depending upon availability of the aircraft for Denise.

These two, particularly Greta, have waited a long time to get out of the shelter, and the first attempt to fly them out last weekend had to be aborted due to weather. We thank the shelter for their patience, and will soon celebrate freedom and safety for these two inmates as they move on toward better lives.

Thank you to all the wonderful pilots who make this possible.

Everyone arrived safely on the appointed days last weekend, and all are doing well. I apologize for taking so long to mark this as done. Thanks to Dave and Diane Newton for the first leg, and Denise Pride for the second and third legs.

Another PnP success!
