That's wonderful! Here's where this stands:

Tomorrow doesn't work. I have no way to move the dogs on to San Antonio tomorrow. I wish I did.

We have a tentative pilot for Saturday morning. The last I heard from him his airplane was in the shop. If it's repaired in time it probably makes the most sense to stay with him, since he's already going to be in the air for another dog, and would be just picking ours up on the way back.

If our tentative pilot is unable to fly Saturday morning we'd love to have you help. I have ground transport set up for Houston-to-San-Antonio, and we'll work with you on schedule. Please let me know what your preferred schedule would be on Saturday, bearing in mind that the second leg is all ground and will therefore be time consuming.

Thank you for offering to help get these two out of the shelter and on their way to new lives.

Sidegrip, please let me know how to reach you quickly, either by e-mail or voice. Our "Plan A" pilot just walked in the door after being out of town all week, and needs to figure out whether he can help tomorrow. In case there's a hitch in his plans, it would be good to be able to reach you.

Thanks!

It looks like we have a transport! 6th time was the charm!

This one will be tomorrow and will be partially by air and partially by ground. Our pilot is flying our two girls from Many to San Marcos, and one of our ground transporters is flying along as dog wrangler. The remainder will be by ground to San Antonio.

Whew! :D

The 6th attempt was, indeed, charming. Both girls are happily and safely in San Antonio, thanks to pilot CleoBen and our volunteer driver who covered the last leg on the ground. Everyone involved is quite relieved that we managed to sneak one past the weatherman.
