Additional Info/situation:

Poor Lil' Bit was found by an Animal Control officer's family down in Baldwin, LA. She was emaciated (2 1/2#) and almost completely bald. They immediately took her to the vet, where she received treatment for red mange and flea dermatitis.
This was almost a month ago and Lil' Bit has made amazing strides, including a weight gain of another 2 1/2 pounds. She Is extremely people oriented and is a true lap dog. She likes small dogs but is a little wary of the larger ones. She also insists on being the Alpha dog of the group.

Terry Casillas of Tired Dog Rescue in Gulfport, MS, is taking this dog into her program, so we need to get her from the Abbeville/New Iberia area to Gulfport/Biloxi (GPT).

One small crate (cat crate) is all that is needed for Lil' Bit.

Leonard Guidry of Abbeville offered to do this flight for us today (Saturday) or take the cats/kittens trip to Houston--both about equidistant from Abbeville. Since one of the receiving cat rescuers was out of town for weekend, we opted to go ahead and fill this one.

Julian Sanchez of Houston might come Saturday to pick up the cats/kittens; if not, we will send them by ground on Sunday, July 21.

TRIP COMPLETED 07/13/13--Min Pin is now in Gulfport and Leonard reports that all went well and he was back in Abbeville by lunchtime. Thanks, Leonard!!
