new idea

Post by rwarnime62 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 11:17 am

I have an idea, I was sitting outside with my pups, and how can we help stop the underground pitbull fighting camps that are spread out all over the USA. I came up with all those small planes you see flying low, what if they when they can, just scan the ground for small dog houses with chains and dogs in one large camps, and reported their whereabouts to authorities ... How can I get the word out to small plane pilots?

On the west coast, you could run a small add in the classifieds.

I meant to include, In-Flight magazine which is available free to local pilots.

This is a wonderful idea! Another suggestion is to spread the word throughout the rescue community with a request they also spread the word to their local pilots.

I may have an outlet for you. I am part of the Experimental Airplane Association - EAA. Many chapters have newsletters that they send out monthly or quarterly to their members. They are usually also very interested in content. Perhaps you could write an article, describe in detail how to spot this from the air, include some pictures of what it looks like from the air, and contact the local chapters and ask them to run the article. While it may be true, I would caution against putting in too much graphic-type language into the article. That can stop a reader from finishing the article. You would have to contact each chapter individually, which would be very time consuming, but if this is your mission, I imagine the work would be worth it. Chapters can be located here: http://www.eaa.org/chapters/locator/. If you click through to the chapters, they usually have an email contact, and if not, there will usually be a contact form on the chapters website.
