If someone would like to split the northernmost leg this weekend. I'm based at Albany, NY which is 8 miles from Schenectady. I could take 1/2 of the FDK to SCH leg. (I can't find a Bellgrove airport where is that?)

Kent...
Wilkes-Barre / Scranton would work. That's a good split on the distance. I'm IFR capable, but avoid clouds during the icy time of year, so count me as also VFR-only.
That leaves me with the question about crates. I use a club plane that requires animals be in kennels/crates. Will the dogs be in a crate or do I need to procure one. Will the whole family fit in one medium crate?

Thanks Jim - we appreciate you. These little guys are coming from a shelter that is pretty poor so I don't think they have crates to spare but we will ask. I can say that we normally don't send crates as the logistics of fitting and moving crates from plane to plane wold be tough and most pilots I know are setup with crates suited for their plane. I know from Jim Carney that PNP will actually give you crates but that would not likely happen before this weekend. I just had a thought - our rescue in Sch. could loan/give you a couple of small/medium crates - we will check with our people in SCH to verify crate availability and can arrange for you to meet up Thurs/Friday with one of our volunteers.
