YOSHI GETS HIS HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
Remember Yoshi, who was snatched from death row at a high kill animal shelter in Los Angeles on what was to be his last day on this earth? Well Yoshi finally found his new “furever” home in New York!
With the help of Pilots N Paws and several rescue groups nationwide, Yoshi flew side by side with PNP volunteer pilot Phillip Angert.
Together they flew more then 2,000 nautical miles, all the way from the west to the east coast in a matter of days.
During the last couple of weeks Yoshi lived in a foster home until he was adopted by his new family, the Pressner’s and their dog Sophie, now Yoshi’s new sister and bunk mate.
It’s obvious he already loves Sophie. They are always side by side.
The Pressner’s renamed Yoshi, Owen Phillip.
His middle name Phillip of course is for the PNP pilot who flew him to his new, wonderful life.
Yoshi, or we should say, Owen Phillip’s new pet mom, Elyse says, “He is such a great pup. We are so lucky and grateful to have him.
Thanks Pilots N Paws for giving us the opportunity to have this wonderful little dog be a part of our lives!”
Pilots N Paws rescued over 15,000 animals in 2013.
PNP is a non-profit organization and has over 4,000 volunteer pilots nationwide.
The target is 10,000 pilots so we can put ourselves out of business.
The pilots volunteer their time, planes and fuel.
They do it straight from the heart for the love of animals.
