Throwback Thursday: Ready, Willing & Able – Saving 10 Dogs on the First PnP Mission!

Michael Schneider (pilot) and Brian Orter (co-pilot) rescued 10 dogs on July 26th, 2014.  Michael and Brian flew these 10 pooches facing imminent death to a no-kill shelter in CT to be adopted by loving families.  The 10 dogs consisted of 7  “gutter puppies,” 2 lab mixes and a chihuahua.  As soon as Michael and Brian landed in Trenton Airport in NJ, a circus of activity and coordination ensued.  Three PnP missions were coordinated and it wasn’t apparent which dogs went in which plane.   All in all a very successful first PnP mission and 10 worthy doggie souls were saved.

Do you work with individuals who rescue or only with shelters and other rescues? I am not with a rescue, but do rescue dogs I find from time to time. Can I call on your organization if I need to place a dog in a reputable rescue to be put up for adoption?

    Thank you!

Lori, Pilots N Paws is only involved in transporting animals. We do not act as a rescue. Your best option would be to make contact with a rescue in your area. Thank your for helping animals in need.
