From the time Stephanie Scaletta sounded the alarm  Victor’s life was changing before he even knew it. Poor little guy was a stray and had gotten near a trailer in Greenup County, Kentucky the guy responsible (name withheld for prosecutorial reasons) decided to shoot Victor in the leg for whatever reason the poor little guy was left to die. That’s when Stephanie Scaletta contacted Anne Doolin and Beverly O’dell  who in turn contacted a variety of people through Facebook  even before  rescue was secure  Beverly O’dell  and husband  Mike  rushed to his aid  from an hour away where they took Victor to an afterhours vet to get him Stabilised,  in the meantime , Homewardbound Recue and Rehabillitation stepped up and said  we will take him. Then the call went out for transport and Jaida’s Paws and Linda Montgomery  contacted Pilots  n Paws  and Mr. Newhouse stepped up to the plate within  24 hours Victor left Ashland Airport was landing in London, Ky and rushed  straight  to  Veterinarian  Smith  at Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital who stayed late to evaluate Victor and set him up with pain meds and antibiotics and scheduled surgery for the next morning. Victors leg was too badly injured to save and he will live his life as a tripod but ultimately without the quick action of  a dedicated pilot, Mr. Bud Newhouse, Victor wouldn’t have gotten the quick medical care he needed that ultimately saved his life. Bud we thank you for all you do and the many tireless efforts you do on behalf of all dogs but we Especially want to thank you for helping us Save Victor.
