11-Year-Old Ella Makes A Huge Difference In The Lives Of Animals Across The Country!

Kids across our country are making a difference in the world of animal rescue. In celebration of our upcoming addition to the PNP website, Brock’s Kids Corner, we’d like to feature this wonderful story by 11-year-old PNP volunteer Ella. Ella has an amazing story and is making a huge positive impact for animals in her community and rescue animals nationwide.

In Ella’s own words..
To raise money, this summer I walked two dogs. Here are some pictures:

The first picture is of Cal, the second is of pepper. Pepper, I walked everyday for 30 minutes. I walked Pepper because his owner got him as a puppy but the day after she got him she needed to have unexpected surgery and was in the hospital for a week. After she got out of the hospital, she needed help with her dog. I was very excited I got to help out all summer and fall. I had to stop because it was too dark to walk outside safely, but I sometimes go to visit him and take him for a quick walk.
Cal I only walked a little bit. He is my mom’s friend’s dog and we only had him for a couple of weekends over the summer.
Here are some pictures with my own pets:

I also walked my own dog too this summer to help raise money, because my mom was in crutches so she could not walk. My dogs name is Giddy and he is the same age as me. We rescued him when I was 3! He is a husky/lab mix. My bunnies names are Muffin (the white one) and Twix (the brown one). We rescued them too after their previous owners got tired of them. They are 4 year old brothers. It is not easy to keep bunnies in the winter when you live in Minnesota!!!
I am very happy I get to help this organization!
A little bit about me: I live in MN. I love to help animals. For example my Bronze award  for my  Girl Scout troop we worked hard all year to raise money. At the end we hosted a party, to raise money for a therapy dog for a child with autism. We raised $600!  I am 11 years old. Here is a picture of me.

I will send the check in the mail!
Glad to help out,
Ella
Ella was kind enough to share the form she uses to gain new dog walking customers in case there are other kids out there who like this idea!
