Buddy AKA Forrest at his new forever home in Michigan
I just want to thank the pilots that flew “Forrest” from TN to MI Lab Rescue in Dundee Michigan two weeks ago. I am his new Mom and he is just a wonderful dog. I appreciate all you guys do to help the homeless animals get to their new loving homes.
Forrest was caught in a trap in a forest in Alabama and sent to doggie jail where a kind person bailed him out after no one claimed him and got him to a rescue group foster home. From there Heidi worked her magic connecting with MI Lab Rescue finding him a forever home with me. He responded to the name Buddy so that is his new name.
Official story:
This is the story about “Forrest” now known as Buddy, flown with pilots from PNP From TN to MI. on July 29thForrest was caught in a trap in the woods in Alabama and sent to doggie jail. He was very frightened and the owner never came to claim him. He was a very sweet, friendly, well mannered boy. A kind volunteer bailed him out and Forrest was placed in a foster home with the Krewe De Rescue. This rescue group works with other rescue groups around the country. MI Lab Rescue had pre-approved families waiting for labs so the work began to get this sweet dog to a new loving home. Two volunteers for the Krewe De Rescue, Heidi Pritchett and Nicole Brooks network and coordinate trips for southern dogs to go north to other rescue groups. They worked their magic and Forrest was driven by four drivers from Mobile Alabama with an overnight stay in Memphis TN. The next day a pilot with PNP, James Carney picked him up in Covington TN and flew him to Terre Haute Ind. where another PNP pilot, Jason King, flew him to Monroe County, MI where a volunteer with MI Lab Rescue, Nancy Geyer received him and delivered him to his new home in Northern Michigan.Forrest is a wonderful young dog that got lost and sadly was never claimed by his original owners, he has a great new home where he is loved and appreciated. We cannot say enough good things about all those individuals that were involved in his journey from a lost frightened pup to a family that loves love him and will keep him healthy and safe.
