Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) needed to to get Doc from the San Antonio, TX area to Amarillo, TX around Thanksgiving time. Susan and Karen coordinated the trip to get Doc to Amarillo, where he’d overnight and then catch a ground transport to his foster home in Colorado Springs and then finally on to his furever home.

Susan loaded up the happy setter to meet Pilot Tanya in Burnet, TX. She and a friend, Paul, flew Doc to Wichita Falls, where Donna met them to foster Doc for a few hours until a 3-leg ground run to Amarillo would commence. Marvin, Ann, and Julie finished the first day of Doc’s journey, where he spent the night with Debbie. The next day, four more drivers continued the trip to get Doc to Colorado.

Doc swapped names and is now known as Benson. He also has a new sister named Lucy. She was also adopted from SWESR, about 3 years ago.
