“Molly” was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina while pregnant and placed in foster until the babies were born. Pilots n Paws pilots Keith Decker, Scott Goodove, Charlie Derk and Brian Rechtiene volunteered to get mom and babies to Rhode Island. Mom was so well behaved.

Despite her weighing almost 60 pounds, you can see that she’s quite the lap dog. Instead of riding in a crate, you can see her taking in the sights from 7000′ while riding on Scott’s daughter’s lap. The dogs flew a total of 655 miles from Rock Hill, SC to Norfolk, VA to Cape May, NJ to Greenwood Lake, NJ and finally Cranston, RI.

The winds started out pretty strong in the morning and continued getting worse along the east coast. So bad, in fact, that the last leg got canceled because of the bad winds and spotty snow showers. Charlie Derk brought mom and pups home and fostered them for the night. The next day, Brian met Charlie at the airport and continued on to get all 3 dogs to the East Greenwich Animal Protection League in Cranston, Rhode Island.
