DOMINO’s FLIGHT to FREEDOM with Richard Marz
This is a graphic story of truly an amazing group of several people in saving a life! I am sharing this because being sad about animal abuse doesn’t do anything. Your actions to report and prevent it do make a difference. Think it hurts your heart to see it? Imagine how much it hurts his body to feel it. Dog fighting is happening in your town. Don’t think it is? This guy proves otherwise. Report any abuse, even if you only suspect it.
The saddest part of all? He wagged his tail the minute he saw us and kept on wagging it while we talked to him, petted him, and assessed his injuries. Such a sweet and innocent guy that was forced to fight for his life for human entertainment.
You’re in safe hands now, Domino. Domino was at the Bainbridge, Ga shelter and is NOW with Noah’s Ark Rescue. THANK YOU Jennifer Smith as well as your awesome volunteers, Priscilla Coyle and Ted Jones. Noah’s Arks Rescue is a 501c3 not for profit organization that supplies emergency medical, surgical and rehabilitation to abused animals. They are not a shelter. Their mission, wish and lifelong hope is that our Society becomes educated in the ethical treatment of all animals and to stop the senseless killing of animals that have been tortured and abused.
Thankfully, they agreed to welcome Domino in and do their best to save his life. The puncture and tear wounds can easily become infected and that is the first thing to treat and address. We were sooo lucky to have a late night confirmation for a pilot, Richard Marz along with daughter, Leanna to fly Domino all the way from Bainbridge, GA to Charlotte, NC.
And I would also like to thank James Kleen and Jim Stenhouse for offering to fly quickly as well. Pilots are amazing advocates for any animals life especially those in critical and shelter situations. We adore them! Domino got his FREEDOM FLIGHT, yesterday, 9/24/16. HUGS Beth Yockey Eck for getting Domino to the airport on time. We appreciate the pilots that fly and drive for us, and all the rescuers/volunteers that save these animals and give them the chance to live ~ Thanks to an awesome pilot program – Pilots N Paws ~ some of the pics are prior to the flight, during the flight and after the flight getting some deep cleaning on face. Stay tuned for updates.
