My FeLV+ kitten Finds New Home

By Gloria Flores,

I recently tried to take in a new kitten but after some blood work, it turns out she is FeLV positive and because of this I got my other cat tested to make sure he didn’t contract the illness from the kitten. Luckily he is okay for now, but after reaching out to many organizations I got in touch with Darryl from SNAP Cats in Santa Rosa, CA and said that they would gladly take her in. He mentioned that he had contacted someone by the name Michelle from this organization with my information to set up a flight for the kitten to be taken to SNAP Cats from her current location in Burbank.

Thank you so much for being a part of such a great organization! I am so delighted to tell you that the flight took place and now the little kitten is at a special sanctuary in Santa Rosa being looked after by a group of awesome people!

I’m so glad she was able to go to a nice place where she can live out her life in pure joy having escaped the clutches of the system here in LA! Again thank you so much! Pilots N Paws was such a vital part of her new home.

These photos that were taken by Toni, a woman who had a cat with a missing eye taken up to Occidental after finding him a new home on the same trip. There was also my FeLV+ kitten who went to SNAP cats in Santa Rosa, a Pitbull who was a rescue about to be euthanized for being old and another dog who I believe also had found a new home. The last photo was taken at the end of the trip once they all made it safe from Van Nuys to Novato. Our awesome pilot was named Greg! We are all so happy and grateful he was able to make this trip happen! Thank you so much again!
