CrisisDogsNC rescued Nicholas,Nicholas, who had been abandoned in the backyard when owner moved, and flew him to his new family in Asheville. Pilot Donn Hartley, who “burns a corridor in the air” from Chapel Hill to Asheville for CrisisDogsNC in his Light Sport, a Jabiru J230SP, settled Nick into a cushy back seat dog bed, but Nick was intent on the view from above.

Hartley texted midair, “Nick and I are looking out the windows, enjoying views of the countryside.”
