Both Timber and Lola were from North Carolina.

Timber:  The tiny puppy Timber came from a breeder. The breeder had the 5-week old pup in a kennel with an adult dog. When the puppy tried to eat some food, the adult took a big chomp on the pup’s head. He almost died, and the breeder took the pup to the vet to be put to sleep. The vet office manager (Heather) kept the pup (Timber) hoping he would survive. It took him weeks to come out of it, and thinking he was still having neuro problems they reached out to a rescue.   The rescue would be Husky House in New Jersey, who offered to help with no hesitation. The puppy had to learn everything all over again.  It still does not know how to eat unless you help him with the bowl.

Lola: Lola was saved from a shelter in NC.  Dawne H. (Southern Sibe Rescue in NC) helped out by holding on to her and then driving 2.5 hours to meet the pilots on Memorial Day!  Dawne was suppose to work this day too!

BEFORE:

AFTER: Nice Job Dawne!

Pilots: David and Lisa Higgins from Maryland were flying for the weekend to NC and offered to bring the pups back to MD with them. The next pilot, Hunter from NJ, was unable to fly on Memorial day due to weather and low ceilings so David & Lisa fostered both dogs overnight!  Hunter flew the day after. Both pups are safe and sound with Husky House in NJ.
