Jessica is the mother of a special needs little girl named Ella, and they reside in central New Hampshire.  Jessica entered a transport request on the Pilots N Paws website on January 2, 2019.

I saw the transport request and noticed Mindy, a service dog, needed to get from Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah to central New Hampshire.  Miraculously, ground transportation drivers William Splinter and Buck Newsome answered the call!  William transported Mindy from Utah to Lake St. Louis, MO.  Buck then transported Mindy from Missouri to Harrisburg, PA to meet me.  William and Buck drover over 2500 miles to make this transport happen.  Buck was a fantastic planner, and this facilitated an excellent outcome.

I flew Mindy on the final leg of her journey from Harrisburg, PA to Gilford, NH on January 16, 2019 with my friend Eric Tierno.  Jessica and Ella met us at our hangar so we could introduce them to Mindy.  It was amazing to see how Mindy instantly bonded with Ella.  All of my Pilots N Paws air transports have been rewarding, but this one was on a whole new level.  Words cannot express the gratitude I have for everyone involved in making this happen.

Ella is seven years old with Noonan Syndrome and Celiac Disease. Conditions that cause a variety of issues from GI discomfort to physical, intellectual, and emotional delays.

Jessica added, “Best Friends found the perfect rescue dog after several months of searching for Ella. She will be trained by Luna Service dogs.  We would never have gotten her to us if it wasn’t for the volunteers and Pilots N Paws. We owe you all so much!!!”

Jessica’s goal was to find a rescue dog to alert to Gluten (there are often many products she’s exposed to at school that contains gluten), as well as provide support and encourage confidence for her.
