Planes,Vans,Cars, “Henry” and soon 17 of his friends!
From Pilot Todd Brooks and his wife/co-pilot Mary.
Our 11th Pilots N Paws Rescue, December 2, 2011 started at Huntsville Airport Alabama to Enterprise Alabama. Pat and her husband drove Henry, a 4 year Border collie, from Fayetteville Tennessee to Huntsville Alabama. Henry had an injury to his eye but that did not change his disposition. He is a very calm and loving collie. We met Leonard at Enterprise.
Leonard will be driving Henry and 17 other dogs to Bradenton Florida December 3rd to Ewenity Rescue Shelter. From there Henry will find a forever home.
We don’t have much information on Henry. He was dropped off in a box at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter a few weeks ago. Henry only had a few hours to live when this multi car, plane, and van transport began. This was a very short and complex rescue, but ended up very successful.
We appreciate how hard the volunteers work facilitating constantly changing dogs, destinations, times, pilots, and weather.
Unfortunately many others aren’t as lucky, and as you all know, the only answer to this devastating issue is to spay/neuter/rescue.
Todd & Mary Brooks
