Jon Wells writes: A week ago Friday, I flew two separate missions, just enough time to fuel and go. I went down to South Carolina and picked up a female Jack Russell Terrior with 5 pups. The Pups were only weeks old. Someone had basically thrown the mother (pregnant) into a ditch from a car/truck, […]

Michael Young had another full day planned with some pretty complex logistics for another Pilots n Paws rescue. First was to round up a bunch of college students early in the morning – good luck with that! The first leg of the flight went from Potomac Airfield (VKX) in the DC area to Roxboro, NC […]

From Scott Messinger: This PILOTS N PAWS rescue became a last minute weekend RUSH. It seems the local vet in Lousianna who was temporarily boarding our dogs called and said, “ALL DOGS OUT BY MON. NOV 21, PERIOD”. Apparently, with Thanksgiving just a few days away, his PAYING customers had vacations planned, and his kennels were soon to be full. […]

Pilot Todd Underwood just made an unusual life saving flight for The Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals (ESMA) to AJ’s Best Friends. What’s so unusual about this rescue flight is all 6 cats were rescued from horrible abusive lives in Cairo, Egypt. Unlike the U.S. and many other countries, there are no animal laws in Egypt and the […]

The Wilmington community needs to thank Doug Oakley for helping out another set of dogs move to a safe location for adoption. An Austrialian shepherd and her litter were, as typical, running out of time at a local shelter. They were days away from death when an animal rescue group reached out to save them. […]

Pilot Scott Messinger is still busy transporting as many animals as possible. Reaching his 1,000 animals transported mark wasn’t enough; he has new goals in mind. The sky is the limit for Scott! He transported 12 dogs from the Darlington Humane Society in Darlington, S.C. to Wilkes Barre, PA. Thanks to Pocono Pet Resq and […]
