Email Notifications stopping

Post by EDWARDABRAMS » Sun Jul 24, 2022 12:19 pm

This may also be the cause for the email listed below from Kim stating she is not getting any emails.
On several occasions I have stopped getting email notifications stopped. What I have found is that if you go to preferences and check to see the entry for the number of miles you are willing to travel each way it has defaulted to 0. I normally set mine at 250 miles. If anyone has any idea why it reverts to 0 without any user input please advise.
Thank you

Hey Ed -
When an email bounces, is marked spam, or unsubscribed we automatically set the flying distance notifications to 0 miles which disables them.
In your case, your email provided reported it couldn't deliver a while back:
550 5.2.1 <[email protected]>... Addressee unknown, relay=[149.72.37.71]

I removed the block, so it should send to you if you set the distance >0 now.

I do not get notifications that someone has responded to my email. Because of this a wonderful 5 year old dog missed a long flight from Titusville, FL to Louisville, KY (and then onto La Crosse, WI) to her forever home.

This is a horrible missed opportunity as it is a 800 mile flight for me and I was headed home to Louisville from Ft Meyers anyway and planned to make the out of the way stop in Titusville to pick her up. But no one called me or emailed me as per my request.

I am stunned that the system has logistical weaknesses like this that allow such an egregious mistake to cost this animal in this way. I provided my telephone number and personal email but no one contacted me before I had to depart even though I delayed an extra hour waiting to hear if my services were needed. It is really quite upsetting.

My notifications have also stopped. I looked in board preferences but did not see where view preferences on proximity. Please help.

Looks you had accidentally unsubscribed. Removed that block - should get notifs now.

I'm going to lock this thread so others don't get notified ongoing.

If anyone else has issues, drop a new thread into the Tech Support forum.
