Our 28th PNP Flight
Our 28th Freedom Flight happened last week as well. We had a great group that worked as a team to get Rico, a 7 month old Olde English Bulldog from SoCal to Utah. Meresa Woodson and her family brought Rico to us bright and early at French Valley, where we hoped to get airborne and beat some of the heat. They brought a carrier for him, but he seemed more content to sit in Kim’s lap in the back on the first leg of his journey.
Our flight was smooth almost all the way to St. George, where we would connect with Alan Cluff, to continue the second leg for Rico. We timed it just about perfectly, with us landing about 5 minutes ahead of Alan. After a short stop on the ramp to move Rico and his things from our plane to Alan’s, along with some pilot talk, Alan headed out. His flight was a bit bumpier than ours, which lead to landing at his base airport instead of the original plan, but things still came together and Rico got to his destination with Ruff Patch Rescue, and Stacie Ward.
Doing handoff flights can sometimes be a challenge, but everyone made this go incredibly smooth. Our thanks to all involved, and Pilots N Paws, as always, for bringing us all together.
