2nd and 3rd Freedom Flights
Yesterday Kim and I got to do what was scheduled to be our 2nd Freedom Flight, but turned out to be the 3rd one as well.
Rae and Wendy, on behalf of the Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue, needed to get Kaya brought from Paso Robles to Orange County. While in the midst of organizing the flight, one of the dogs in Orange County, Ava, had a potential adopter want to see her. Since we were going that direction anyway, we stopped off at John Wayne Airport to pick up Ava and bring her up to Wendy in Paso Robles. We picked up Kaya, and headed back down to Orange County where Rae picked her up.
It was a beautiful day for flying. The view of the coast, and mountains, was amazing. Having a meaningful purpose for doing the flight made it all that much better.
Thank you again to Pilots N Paws for helping put all of this together. Thank you as well to Wendy and Rae, who are constantly working to help save the lives of these beautiful dogs.
