32, yes 32 Saved from Georgia to Florida, Amazing!

When pilot Steve Clegg received a call for a transport need to fly from GA to FL with 32 passengers on board, he went into action just like he always does.

Two of the 32 !

He contacted Pilot Todd and the two of them worked together with rescues to save 32 precious lives.  Thank you pilots and volunteers, what a difference you made for these pups!

As you will see in the upcoming photos, these pups had an interesting ride after the pilots landed with a thinking outside of the box rescue volunteer!

Steve's Plane and Todd's Plane ready for the "gang"

Steve with little "Blondie"

Such a cutie pup, this little Blondie and very fortunate to be on her way from a kill shelter in GA to loving arms in Florida.

The "Gang"

Watching over the little ones and making certain no one gets left behind, check ………..

A Big Hug before saying goodbye!

As promised, and interesting ride home, ha!~

From Pilot Steve:
“Kelli Curtis in Tampa, that manages “Lucky One’s” dog rescue was looking for a new vehicle to haul dogs in. Trucks and vans were expensive, so this is what she settled on. She drove out to the airplane and transferred our 17 dogs to it. She said it’s great because she can take more dogs then ever before and there are “rollers” on the floor which makes sliding the doggie crates in a breeze!   Dogs were peakin gout of every window. She left the “curtains” on the side windows, and it was funny seeing a couple of LAB puppies peaking out from behind them as she drove out of the airport.”
Whatever it takes, right folks??  Thank you again to everyone who took the time to help these 32, wow, that’s a lot!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. Pilots N Paws has made a tremendous difference in the ability to save the lives of homeless animals. It takes teamwork to save these animals. Steve and all the pilots who volunteer are a huge part of that team, and I am truly grateful.

Does anyone know if some of these dogs ended up at the Lakeland SPCA? My girlfriend and I adopted one on Monday and we were told that he flew in from Bainbridge. We would love to share this story with friends, if this may have been the flight he was on. Either way, great work!

    Ben

Most of our passengers that day went to the “Lucky Ones” rescue in Tampa. But some of them, about 9, did go to another shelter in the Lakeland area. So your new family member could very well be a frequent flyer!
