Pilots Fred and Tom worked with Nicole and Katia for several days confirming flights and schedule for a hound pup and 6 bottle baby pups from Texas to Wisconsin.

The day before the mission, another PnP flight that began in San Antonio, TX had to alter plans and Pilot Russell had to land in St. Louis due to weather. No worries, we all worked out the details and the new rescue was Mom Asia with 4 puppies and 4 surrogate pups. Other pilots stepped in for the “bottle pups” and soon all the dogs were on their way rescue and forever homes.

Russel, had to stop in St. Louis enroute from Dallas to Chicago.

Tom’s daughter Melissa is shown here with one of Asia’s pups as cruise toward Middleton Wisconsin. Melissa is also active in Pilot and Paws rescues and wants to start pilot training this summer.

    Hi,
My name is Linda and I just wondered for future knowledge in case I wanted to rescue a cat from a high kill shelter of New York, would you be able to transport a cat from there to Vancouver, Canada?
I know you only travel certain distances, but it says special arrangements could be made. Thanks very much for your time.

Linda, it isn’t that the organization makes special arrangements, but sometimes the volunteer pilots are able to accommodate a special request such as yours. The only way to find out is to post the request via the forum, and you can find out how to do so here: http://www.pilotsnpaws.org/forum/faq.php?mode=rescue#f2r0. With that distance, though, I expect your best option is going to be to look for commercial transport. Good luck.
