Disclaimer: This Story Will Melt Your Heart
Sparky was surrendered to the Vance Shelter in NC, because he was old and sick. The shelter volunteer group (RCAPS) had him treated by a vet as he was urinating blood and suffering, but there was only so much that could be done for him. He also tested positive for Heartworm. A family in Markham, Ontario saw his picture and offered to give him a home for whatever time he has left. He was flown on a series of PNP flights from Henderson, NC to Buffalo, arriving in rough shape. He had surgery and blood transfusions a week later and was given a 5 week life expectancy. That was on Feb. 5th, 2015. Today he is still a happy dog loving life in his new home. There is no telling how long he has but his life is full of fun and love. Sparky ended up in the right place in the end.
