1/31-2/4 Pilots N Paws Transport (Ground)
This transport started on  in Miami Saturday 1/31 with two rabbits from the Key West Shelter that needed a ride to Orlando. On the way north, in Miami, I picked up “Frankenweenie”, a rat terrier mix that had suffered a nasty head wound and also lost his right eye, and a little blind pup. I delivered the rabbits to Orlando and then went to Ocala to pick up two dogs whose owner had passed away and needed transport to the owners son in Pennsylvania. I ended up overnighting in Dothan, AL with the four dogs. In the morning I met up with a rescue that had a big black cat (Diego) that was on his way to his adopter in Kentucky and then it was on to Nashville, TN. The cat, Frankenweenie and the blind pup were taken by the cats adopter back to KY where the two dogs were delivered to their rescue. The two PA dogs were delivered to boarding until their ground transport could be arranged over to Pittsburgh.

On Feb 4 I started heading south through Alabama picking up dogs along the way. Also joining the group was a Bull Terrier named Arnold that hopped aboard in Marianna, FL and was going with me back to rescue in the Florida Keys. I ended up with 64 dogs/puppies and one cat that were heading to Florida and their new lives.
