Suzee was the Belle of the Ball.

Suzee is a sweet one year old Shar-Pei found as a stray in Gwinnett, GA.  She was in pretty rough shape with some wounds that looked like she had an embedded harness.  Shar-Pei Rescue of Virginia pulled Suzee from the shelter, but we needed to transport her to a foster home in Virginia Beach.

A group of volunteers, including Eric Davis from Pilots N Paws, pulled together for a transport the weekend of 12/17-18.  Suzee was first transported by car to Belmont, NC, where she had a sleep over.  Eric flew from Smithfield, NC to meet Shar-Pei Rescue of Virginia volunteer, Kathy, and Suzee at the airport in Concord, NC.  This was Eric’s first flight for PNP!

Eric and Suzee - What a great first PnP Flight

Kathy dressed Suzee up pretty in a red holiday collar and a red bow for her trip.  Eric picked up the shaking Shar-Pei, put her in a crate behind his seat and then headed for the runway.  About two hours later, he landed at Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport where two other volunteers were waiting to greet them.  Eric said she was such a great rider that he forgot she was even in the plane with him.  Suzee is now safe and recovering in her foster home.

Thank you Eric and Pilots N Paws!
