CrisisDogsNC rescues Marty and Millie
PNP pilots Tony Russo and Henry Siegels’ first stop on what would be a 630 nautical mile rescue mission was Fayetteville, North Carolina, to pick up CrisisDogsNC rescue Marty, who had finished arduous heartworm treatment and had a home waiting in Frederick, Maryland. It was then a hop over to Raleigh-Durham (KRDU) for senior Miss Millie who was heading to a long term hospice foster in College Park. The two dogs, buckled into the back seat, quietly enjoyed the view from the Cessna 182Q on this cloudless Sunday in February.
Russo and Siegel are members of the Blue Sky Aviation Flying Club in Frederick. It was Siegel’s second PNP flight. “One of the benefits of PNP is meeting the rescuers, fosters, and adopters who share in the common purpose of saving dogs and cats. And it was a delight to spend time with two wonderful dogs!”
