Daisy and Duke Run For the Northern Border

Daisy and Duke, brother and sister, had long travels, from at least Missouri to Maine and on to Canada with many ground transports and a few flights.  The particular days in this record cover the stretch from Cincinnati, OH to their adoptive home in Oak Bay, NB Canada with two flight and nine ground legs.

The two English Pointers were great travelers and greeted all with wagging tails.  Caroline with American Pointer Rescue had the tough job of arranging logistics.  She said:

“We are all set to transport Daisy and Duke, two 2-yr old, 45 lbs, lemon and white siblings, from Cincinnati, OH to their American Pointer Rescue, Inc. adoptive home in Oak Bay, NB Canada. They will be traveling with a collar, a harness, ID tags, two leashes each, a bag of items, medical records & health certificates.  Please remember to first hand paperwork and belongings to the other driver before loading the dogs to ensure no items are left behind. Times include a 10 minute break between legs.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Daisy and Duke are very wiggly and energetic. To ensure their safety, please wait for the other driver/pilot to assist and handle only one dog at a time during transfer.

Thank you very much for helping Daisy and Duke get to their forever home with Joey and Trish. Special thanks to Joey and Trish for adopting this bonded pair of siblings and giving them the gift of staying together. Safe drive/flight Everyone!”
