First PnP Flight for John Cadia

On Thursday, November 20th United for Animals Transport posted and urgent transport request for Schwinn, a 9yr-old female Lab sitting in a high kill facility in Idaho. Emily Faolan Wolf, founder of Summit Dog Rescue (SDR) in Boulder, CO, learned Schwinn was on the euthanasia list and agreed to take her.

Later that day John M Cadia, a Salt Lake City pilot looking to fly his 1st PnP rescue mission, reached out with an offer to fly Schwinn wherever she needed to go. Transport came together by Friday morning with Friends of Burley Shelter Rescue getting her to the Pocatello, ID airport to meet pilot John. He flew Pocatello to Rawlins, WY to meet Denny Benson, a seasoned PnP pilot in Colorado whose plane wasn’t available that day. Denny made the 8hr RT drive to pick up Schwinn and get her to Steamboat Springs where her foster was waiting.
