Flying CrisisDogsNC Blue on a 15-dog, 5,000 mile Mission!

Southern California PNP Pilot Sean Moran flew from his home base in Orange County to the Eastern US on a 15 dog, 5 day mission that included a flight diverted in mid air due to extreme weather and rescues for CrisisDogsNC, the US Coast Guard in San Diego and for the Search and Rescue Dog Foundation. CrisisDogsNC Blue was scheduled for an evening pick up in Harnett County. But mid air Moran called in, extreme weather was forcing an overnight landing at RDU.

The following early morning Moran rented a car to pick up Blue from his car-less foster. The big dog was very agitated, so Moran packed him in the plane (huddled in crate and covers) and, with his flight attendant Hyperlink the Husky, flew on to Nashville.  A happy ending for all 15 rescued dogs! And 5000 miles for Moran’s Diamondstar DA-40.
