Mission:  Fly Ginny and her 8 puppies from DeRidder, LA to Covington, TN where PNP Pilot David Cook will meet me and fly them on to Madison, WI. My flights to save Ginny and her puppies went well. Unfortunately, when the puppies were checked by the WI vet, they tested positive for parvo and one has gone over the “Rainbow Bridge”. My airplane has been decontaminated and I’m back to flying PNP transports. Lesson learned by the sending and receiving rescue, make sure the dogs are completely and properly vetted. In all cases, make sure the adult dog has been vaccinated and puppies are not flown too young and have complete vetting prior to flying them.
