This was a last minute “gotta boogie now” situation.  While the request never officially hit the PnP ride board, it never would have happened unless rescuer Ann and pilot Darin met from previous PNP requests.

On Thursday, the road to recovery for the border collie named Chloe included a brief stop in South Bend.

Chloe arrived by private airplane. She’ll spend the night in a foster homein Mishawaka before heading to Chicago to meet with medical professionals on Friday.

“This woman who saved Chloe is now having to have surgery today, on Thursday, so we had to get that dog over here to get her moving towards Midwest Border Collie Rescue, who has offered to take her in for x-rays, some more medical tests to see if her legs are salvageable,” explained Ann Pinard-Missad, from Dream Paws Rescue.

Chloe lost the use of both of her back legs, so she moves around with the assistance of a make-shift wheel chair.
