“Thank you” just does not seem adequate but…please know how very grateful we at the Humane Society of Grand Bahama are!

Over the last 23 days some amazing pilots including yourselves have moved 78 precious souls off this island.  The 27 that you guys were able to get (I’m adding Jeff Bennett in here who took 8 dogs to Naples this morning) allowed us to close the kennel block that we must close due to financial struggles, five days early and without a mass euthanasia.  Some of the dogs that flew out today have been in our shelter for more than five years.

This was truly their last chance.  Several already have forever homes waiting on them and the rest are going to stellar no kill shelters and rescues from Florida, to Cape May, NJ, to Toronto and Montreal, to Denver.

Me and my staff and our Board of Directors are overwhelmed by your kindness and compassion in reaching across borders to help our little island dogs who truly have so little chance here.

Heartfelt and eternal thanks,

Tip
