Happy Easter!! This picture makes us particularly happy today smile emoticon We hope Pearl and her pups are enjoying their first Easter in their forever homes, and we wish all of our wonderful pilots, volunteers, supporters, and rescue animals a very happy holiday.

Pearl and her puppies depart a life of neglect in Ashe County, NC, en route to ChicagoLand Lab Rescue. Cathy Allinder of the local Humane Society was at the shelter when Pearl, emaciated and in poor health, and her 10 one week old puppies were surrendered.

Cathy and husband Tom fostered the family for a month, getting them healthy enough for their freedom ride, courtesy of Sheley Revis of Friends of Ashe County Animals, and PNP pilots John (Pam) Farthing (NC to KY) and Dave Collom (KY to IL). All found forever homes!
