Jake saved from being tortured and eaten!
In an elaborate series of carefully coordinated steps, Jake, a Cockapoo, was rescued from ritual torture and being served as an aphrodisiac meal in Korea! Christine Bacon, of Cherished Cockers in Cleveland, explained that Jake was “midnight rescued” from the grips of an animal hoarder by dedicated volunteers who disagree with the practice.
Funded by heartfelt donations, he was then shuttled via commercial carrier to Chicago. PNP mission first leg pilot Kevin Jarchow picked Jake up in Chicago and flew to Ann Arbor, then transferred him to Bob Rose who flew his very first PNP mission by delivering little Jake to Cleveland.
Christine was delighted with her first exposure to PNP’s assistance with saving such precious cargo. While working hard with various organizations to change Korean laws, Christine is hoping for more help from PNP pilots to support the rescue work in the mean time.
