Jeff Bennett From Lakeland to AL
Hi All,
This transport was bittersweet. It started with Heather (my wife) and I travelling to Lakeland to pick up a sweet little Brindle Platt Hound mix named Petunia that was unable to find a home in Lakeland. She was being sent back to Alabama where we hope she will have better luck. We flew Petunia to Tallahassee where we met up with Dave who drove over from Pensacola, FL with 21 dogs/puppies that arrived from Louisiana. We loaded the crates and ended up with one pup – Emily – that had to ride on Heather’s lap. Emily is special in that she is my 250th critter saved through Pilots N Paws.
When we arrived in Lakeland, we met Wes Parker, his wife and mother in law who was celebrating her 83 birthday. They adopted the little Aussie mix for their farm. They have several dogs and horses for the little guy to herd. The others will be up for adoption at the Lakeland SPCA.
Another beautiful day to be in the air and 22 pups saved.
