Cinnamon Before ... and .... Cinnamon After

Cinnamon found herself in a shelter in horrible condition from living on the streets. She was so skinny that you could see her pelvis and ribs, and her coat was a mess. She was brought into Shar-Pei Rescue of Virginia where she received some much needed TLC from her foster Mom in New Jersey. After a few weeks of recovery, Cinnamon was beautiful and ready to more to her “furever” home; but her adopter was in North Carolina.

At about the same time, we found an adopter for Bella, who had been rescued from a shelter in Virginia back in August. Bella was in a foster home in North Carolina, and her “furever” home was in New Jersey.

Robert and Bella and New Family - Will this be their Christmas card photo?

We contacted Robert Lampkin of Pilots N Paws, who has generously helped transport many Shar-Pei Rescue of Virginia dogs; he offered to help transport Cinnamon and Bella to their new homes. On 11/25, Robert flew Cinnamon from southern New Jersey to Chesapeake, Virginia. Cinnamon’s adoptive Mom picked her up at the airport, and she went on her way to her new home in North Carolina. Bella was transported from her foster home in North Carolina to the airport in Chesapeake and flew back to New Jersey with Robert.

Thank you to Robert and Pilots N Paws for your lifesaving work!
