Pilot John’s First PNP Mission: Seven Volunteers Made This Happen in the Space of 9 Hours
I am a Transport Coordinator and have been successfully using PNP to help transport dogs and kittens from the Central Valley area of CA to rescues in the SF Bay area for a while now. Today, I got a message asking for urgent help to get some dogs out of the Fresno area before Animal Control insisted that they head to the shelter (too many dogs in the home). I wasn’t sure that we would find a pilot at such short notice but, John responded to my post on the Ride Board and in my telephone conversation with him, he told me this would be his first flight as a PNP volunteer pilot. A very special day for him and for these six pup who are now safely with their two wonderful rescues. Seven volunteers made this happen in the space of 9 hours – from the organizing, through actual transport time and safe delivery to their rescues. Today’s mission is complete and I think the first photo below shows some great smiling faces on the dogs who were saved today.
