Planes, Trains & Automobiles Save Milo!
Milo is a blind senior from the Baldwin Park Shelter (So Cal), where he was waiting for someone to save him! Milo was scared and running out of time, so WagAware stepped in to temporarily foster Milo. We picked up this sweet pup from the shelter and took him in. The incredible humans at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in Northern California offered to open their doors to Milo, but we needed to find a way to get him there.
That’s when the wonderful people at Pilots N Paws helped fly Milo from Los Angeles to San Francisco, via his own private plane! Pilots N Paws runs a wonderful program where small plane pilots donate flights to get dogs where they need to go. Often someone in another state offers to help (where the only other choice is euthanasia) but we need a way to get the dog to another state. Pilots N Paws coordinates their existing flights or donates flight time for this purpose. How BARKING cool is that?! It’s an incredible non-profit program saving lives and we could not be more grateful.
Milo was running out of time, and the pilots at Pilots N Paws saved his life. Milo now lives happily with his incredible foster family in So Cal, and is one step closer to finding his loving, forever home–and his life will only be filled with happiness from now on. It takes a village to save a dog, and Milo’s story is proof positive, but again, being part of that village will change your life. Please join and take part of a dog rescue story.
